Great render, the only things i'll try to improve in my opinion, is the tablecloths (to rigid) and the gi settings because there are some artifacts in right wall. Great work!

Skyportal is a methode to lead more light into the building..
Can be useful sometimes, in usual case not absolute necessary.
It "gathers" the outside light(s) and directs it/them into the interior space.
Common use: a rectangle area-light (as light portal) in the size of a window placed in the window-opening.

@glass.use = thx glass, agree. i want to shoot that area too. but how bout this scene that to much "red" in my opinion. do you have any suggestion what i must do next?
@ZuluQ = thx dude, yes, agree with tablecloth.i will fix it later. bout GI Setting. i don't know which GI setting that can help to get rid that artifact. can you point me? pls help me :)

you could try a short test with Brute Force as second GI solution to see, if the artifacts come from Lightcache or not.
And then one can try to fix the problem ;-
By the way, very nice render!

did you already try whitebalance? you can use this to control the hue of your image.

Not yet, but i use same principle on photoshop. i add new layer and fill it with blue color and change layer type to overlay. and that's the result on scene.
but i'll try it now :) thx walli
do you have sugggestion bout artifact? i mean. what setting do i must change for avoid artifact like that.
many thx before

Hi :)
To get rid of gi artifacts try changing two things in IR Map tab:
- Hemispheric Subdivision increase to 70
- Interpolated samples increase to 30-32
cheers

i still see little artifact in real resolution of this image (it's on 1500 pixel)
but i think i can get rid all artifact with increase Hemispheric Subdivision and Interpolated samples little bit more
but i still has "red" image... anyone know how to reduce red ambient on this image?
regards
ps : IR and Brute Force still rendering, i wil update this when render is finish

i would not use light partals, they arent really need in vray
your camera angle is slightly tilted, that irritates me a bit,
over all i could image placing a slight diffuser arealight to the right side of the room, like a photographer maybe would do in such a room to give a bit better light dramatic...
think it like pacing real spot lights with a diffuser filter in front.
overall a good strart:-)
for AA better use no filter and use 0/4 or 0/6 with threashold to 0.005
material wise i would recheck to materials to have not unnatural strong saturation, and to be not too light...maybe i would suggest finetuning the camera and use a slightly longer shutter speed to give more light into it.
cheers

hi stefan,
i was experimenting with light-portals recently. couldn`t make them work propperly. do i have to set the intensity of the aera-light used as light-portal to zero?
thanks m

Hmmmm..
about this red color... it looks like your sun is quite low, maybe check your sun hight (the sun in the afternoon becames a little bit red).
Just a thought.
(You can always lower the saturation in GI tab and/or use white balance feature - the color you select in the camera tab in white balance will become white :) )
cheers

play with the color balance too :) so you get rid of the red color and don't need ps for postwork

here's some update
this is with IR and Brute force as second. and it's surprise me coz render time is much longer than using LC as second. it's take almost 2 times longer than using LC as second.(with same setup and still use light portal)
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b178/Payz/tes9hisetingIRBTlo.jpg
and here's when i don't use light portal. and WOW,strange, i don't need light portal at all. it's still the same result with or without light portal. i don't understand why. guess stefan can explain this
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b178/Payz/tes10hisetingIRLCwoportallo.jpg
and as ussual :D edited version. i don't understand how to use color balance :( so i do it manually on PS for editing. guess now i will take further test with night scene. i want to test ies light :)
