wow, andre, another great work!

how do you managed the background image?
every time i do that, its much too bright. so im intersted in your texture settings for the background image.
or maybe the trees and the gras are 3d model?
but how did you managed it that the windows are not too bright?

Best Hiro

hi hiro,

thank you! The trees are 3d, the grass and the rest is a picture.
I use the picture in the luminosity layer with texture muliplyer 2 and only this layer is activated.
I think you should try the exponential type of color mapping to avoid too much brightness.

ok thanks!

did you use a phy cam, sun strenght 1
or just a "normal" cam , sun strength 0.05?

ok, i think in a physical way i have made a mistake by using physical camera with standard sun settings of strength 0.05.
I set the camera an the lights so that it fits to this value.
But when i set the sun to strength 1 and set the camera and light values correct, the result is similar to the picture above.

aha, mybe thats the reason, for the "not-too-bright-look-out-of-the-window".. :o

lovely image man...great lighting. Can I ask you though are your backgrounds composed in photoshop?

If so how do u get the chair reflections in your glass cause everytime i use an alpha selection in phtotoshop it doesn't select the glass in my render at all..can you help me with the issue or advise me on how to approach that..many thanks

Keep posting your great work 8)

hi nooxy,

thank you! The background is a texture in the luminance channel of a material mapped on a plane lying behind the scene. I think it is the best way to create such a background. I never use photoshop for this, because of exactly the problems you describe...
hope, this will help you.

hi sadece,

thank you, i posted the settings some replys above. It was IrrMap -3 /-1 and lightcache 800 / 4. Antialiasing was adaptive DMC and color mapping was exponential 2/2/0,8. I used physical sun and sky and IES lights for the downlights.

cheers Andre

Can you share the glass material ?

hi, it is just a normal glass like the one stefan posted here some times ago. What i have done to the glass desk is laying a different glass material with less refraction on the narrow side of the desk to simulate the glass cut.

cheers Andre

Absolutely stunning...images like yours are why I purchased VRayforC4D. Maybe one crit if you will allow me...the edges of the tablecloths where they turn down are too sharp for fabric, also the folds of the fabric look a little unnatural.
