Make preview problem[use editor or picture viewer]

When I render a single frame, my scene looks exactly as it should -- however, when I go to "make preview" it renders without any textures -- just black and gray. What's going on?

what is "make preview" this is aimed more for ogl / editor renders if you mean what i think....

in all 10+ years of using c4d iw ould never use that for final renders? why dont use the editor? is better has all and more functions and you have instant feedback

vray reders in the editor in any woindow and it renders in the picture viewer.
the old maxon"make preview for editir renders cannot use external engines.
