Thanks,

with your scenes I get tho the wright way.

The trick is:
The pickture has to be copied into the "weight" chanel.
Then change to an "EBENE"
Then change value to "0"
Thus pictue goes to black.

So the material is olnly shown where the picture is.

no you can mix 100+ materials!!!

how do you come to this conclusion, read in the manual, justr activate mix on all stacked materials, there is NO limit in number of stacked materials in vray

cheers

I have only been able to mix 2 materials as well

In the file that I linked to in this thread http://forum.vrayforc4d.com/viewtopic.php?t=385 I tried mixing with and without selections, and I could only get 2 materials to mix.

I know this thread is from a while back but users were with VRay 1.1 so all is still up to date. Has anybody cracked this issue of only having 2 materials on an object on Vray as I was really under pressure yesterday to deliver a stack of 3d visuals and this mixing of materials really held me up.

I had to duplicate the objects in the end to be able to show a bottle neck with a label on it but had to increase the object size to not have it overlapping with the original object beneath it. Any help would be greatly received.
