Hi everyone,

To celebrate the new year and our recent support of VRAYforC4D on the RANCH, we have decided to do something special: a $210 free render credit is offered to all VRAYforC4D forum members! To benefit from this time-limited offer, you just have to:

- register on the RANCH site (if you are not already registered)
- send us an e-mail on our contact e-mail address (contact@ranchcomputing.com)telling us your VRAYforC4D forum name, your RANCH Computing account login, and that you want to benefit from this special offer.
- wait for our answer by e-mail (please allow 24h for the answer, although it should be much faster in most cases).

Please note that:

- This special offer is valid until wednesday, January 19th (included).
- The $210 credit will expire on February 28, 2011, so you have until this date to send project(s) covered by this credit.
- Your $210 free refill corresponds to a 30 minutes render time on the RANCH Runner with the standard Sapphire formula. There is no sharing on the RANCH, every project runs at full capacity.
- If the cost of your first project is lower than $210, you will be able to use the remaining amount on other projects.
- You can send a project which exceeds $210, but in that case please be aware that you will have to pay for the difference (total cost minus $210).
- You can use our cost estimator on the RANCH for Cinema 4D homepage (http://www.ranchcomputing.com/C_index.php) to estimate the time/cost of your project.

We currently support VRAYforC4D 1.2.5.5 for Cinema 4D R11.5 and R12, with animations and still images.

Thank you for your attention, and see you on the RANCH!

Hi everybody,

I have tried Fred's Offer and here is my short review:

- all steps you have to do are clear and simple, all things are well described
- if something is not clear, you can contact them and they will help immediately
- you have a good controll , you see the status of your project in a waiting list, you see the renderprogress in %.
- i had a mistake in rendersettings, the path to the precached GI files was wrong, Fred was so kind to clear the Renderprogress, so the money was not wasted - as i said before, the support are great.

so go on everybody and make your test! the offer is great!

Cheers

Hi,

some (good) news from the RANCH:

1) we have automated the use of the Anim prepass / Anim Render Irradiance map mode:
a) You render a first project (Anim prepass) which compute one .vrmap per frame
b) and then a second project (Anim render) which automatically use the previously rendered vrmaps stored on the RANCH to render the final frames. This technique saves you the trouble of rendering the Irradiance maps on your system.

2) We have put online a new free tool called RANCHpacker (http://www.ranchcomputing.com/C_freesoftware.php) which converts your C4D project in a project archive ready to render on the RANCH. It works on PC and Macs.

3) Last but not least... the Blitz! formula is online and valid until February 28th. The Blitz! is a FREE 5-minute run on the RANCH Runner (http://www.ranchcomputing.com/blitz.php)- that corresponds approximately to a 4 hours render on a 12-core MacPro workstation, or 10 hours on a Core i7 PC.
Do not miss it, all the details are here (http://www.ranchcomputing.com/blitz.php). And did I mention it is FREE? :)

Cheers,

Fred
