texture size limit

hello all,
Is there a limit to the resolution of textures allowed in vray? I tried to load a 7000 x 7000 texture but I get an out of memory message.

why.. this will make any render enigne laggy ad might crash probably.
possible your spec is low too. why dont you resize it in ps or so.

I resized it to 4000x4000 and it worked fine. I was just curious more than anything.

LoL I think a 7000x7000 Texture map is way out of line.
Why would you use such Highres images.....
