geometry ;-)

I sometimes run into problems when the camera has to look through lots of alpha maps. Didn't really double-check, might be easily solvable with the Max Transparency Settings?
I was really wondering why Tong used geometry on his plants.

Very good work!

well the main reason it`s easier to handle, some models can`t be created using alpha map for some major parts

also some render engines experience difficulties with alpha mapped objects that overlap each other in render.

http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/8915/26719540.jpg

for example this is pure geometry and textures used only for "paint" it, not make form of it.

ps: sorry exor, if you don`t want to link to be here, tell me i will delete it.

no need to feel down, using good alpha gives the AA advantage and the more realistic soft look.

Well i guess price a little bit to high, if you divide
you will get 2.5 euro per model.

I purchased the plants and thought the quality was very good.
The scale of the originals seemed a bit strange. For instance, the Dandelion came in at
22.5 meters high. Seems kinda big to me ;)

BTW I was not one of the 43 that said they were going to purchase.

I am very greatful to anyone that is willing to take the time to create high quality assets, materials & training (we really need more training vids and/or a cohesive collection of "Tips & Tricks", Hi Tong)

One more thought exor.

You might consider making and including a version of the plants that also work with AR.
That would create added value & expand your user base.
