My company is highly interested in adding VRAY for C4D to our workflow. However, we are unsure how the license will affect our pipeline.

Can VRAY for C4D import VRAY materials/scenes from 3DS Max?

If we purchased only one license would we be able to render VRAY scenes on our network via Net Render?

We are currently running C4D r11 but are planning to upgrade to r12 soon. If we bought VRAY now, would we be able to upgrade and still use VRAY or will the VRAY license be locked to our r11 license? Would it be better to upgrade to r12 first?

We only plan to use VRAY on one PC. However, we run all of our C4D licenses through a license server. Would we be able to transfer our VRAY license to a second PC (same C4D license) after removing it from the first, or is it node locked to the first PC it's installed on?

Thank you for your help

no. not now. in future it can be with use of vray native scene format.

hm. not sure as i get you right, but as long as your actions not conflict with maxon policy about use of cinema4d. Anyway if you have 11 and bought 12, you just ask for new free key for it.
