Unsolved Installation Problem

Hi everyone. I would like to join the party but I can't install VrayForC4D in my Intel Quad! javascript:emoticon

I have been posting and reading in the forum and tried everything.

I installed the bridge following instructions on the PDF and two more clarifications on the forum and tried for hours(please link - everything is in the right place)
I always tried to install the UB version. On my old G5, I have the symbol of the UB version with a prohibited symbol. So I could not test it there
I suspect there is something wrong with the key

Please help me to find a way to install this. I really need to start working with the bridge soon ;-) ;-) ;-)

just take a look on the cinema 4d console (window menu -> console)

If there is any error.. you'll find it there.

Thanks for answering.

I installed again the bridge and got nothing new in the console.

You can see in the link below that what appears in the console before and after the installation. There is nothing related with the bridge. I look for it in the plug in menu, render settings, no Vray tags...

I wish I was doing something wrong to try more alternatives to solve this, but I run out of ideas :roll:

Do you think there is a problem with the key? And, if this is the case, how I would know.

I ask you kindly to help me with this problem at your earliest convenience.

are you running the cinema4d.ppc ?

because the VrayBridge is Universal so you need to run the Cinema4D.app

I am afraid this could take a few more days and I depend on your team 100% to solve this. I do not have any obvious mistake. You can see it yourself in the picture

I imagine all the pressure you guys must be under, but could you take care of this pppplease? :wink: This is very important for our company.

but the vraybridge.dylib is not loaded .. for sure or something must appear in the console.

If the dylib is inside the plugins folder, c4d try to load it and execute the main routine.. but no wrote there. Your 9.6 is not loading the plugin... and this is really strange.

The bad is the i don't see all others plugins too and seem very strange that no one of these plugins write something in the console.

Are you sure that is only the vraybridge that is not loading?

I reinstalled C4D and the bridge one more time and did not work (nothing on the console). I made a video of it. Please take a look your private messages to see the links.

I tested the Pathdeformer and the console shows that it looks for the key.

I also erased on purpose the Vray key files to check if the console shows something similar, but it did not! ha

I just tested everything in my old G5 by reinstalling C4D and installing the bridge in the UB version. Nothing happened. Same thing than the Intel Mac. Noting on the console either. The installation was correct (100% sure) :P

Two macs and no success! I am starting to wonder if I am the only one with this issue :?

We went one step forward! Vray shows up, but in the console it says "Error, VrayBridge.key not found, Vray not loaded" But the VrayBridge.key file is in the C4D main folder

Should I check the forum to have an answer for this new challenge or this has something to do with you guys?
